the concept of the project was inspired by a prehistoric cage's hide cover.
the goal was to develop a modern door system which is simple and safe as
it was thousand years ago. the door can be opened from either side and in
both directions. each of embedded supporting axles can be a door's turning
points, enabling flexibility to open a door from any side. the corresponding
axle is activated while other axle is automatically blocked (see blueprint).
the door has safe rubber edges to protect against typical household injures.
in-door locking blocks both axles simultaneously. door's fixtures are made
of light but strong alloys and plastic. the door system is suitable for
internal and external installation to existing doorways where only upper
part should be strengthened. |
